Authenticate and list projects
Exchange your credentials for a token and discover the sites you can see.
UsesDash API
Every Evercam request needs a token, and almost every request needs a project. This guide covers both.
From credentials to a project list
Get a token
Returns the user record plus a token JWT.
curl -X POST "https://media.evercam.io/v2/auth/login" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"username": "you@example.com", "password": "…"}'A failed sign-in returns 400 with a readable body:
{
"code": "INVALID_CREDENTIALS",
"message": "Invalid username or password",
"details": null,
"inner_error": null
}Repeated failures for one email return 429 with a Retry-After header. Wait
that many seconds rather than retrying immediately.
List projects
Every project your account can see.
curl -H "Authorization: Bearer $EVERCAM_TOKEN" \
"https://media.evercam.io/v2/projects"Each project carries an exid — the identifier used in every later request.
One token, several APIs
This JWT is also accepted by the AI API and Labs, though each expects a different header. See Authentication.
